Big Apple Festival 2004, NYC
"Art of The Trade" Big Apple Snow Globe

Interactive Snow Globe
Turn the hand-crank to generate a snowstorm of trading forms within the apple!

Located at the New York Mercantile Exchange main entrance, 1 North End Avenue, World Financial Center. On view from September through October, 2004.

Sponsored by The New York Mercantile Exchange
Within the apple is a model of the New York Mercantile Exchange trading floor with Traders buying and selling, wearing their distinctive jackets and badges. Joining them are Phone Clerks, NY Mercantile Exchange Staff wearing yellow jackets and Interns sitting inside the center pit wearing safety goggles. On the Trading Floor, when a Trader completes a sale they note it on a trading form and toss it into the center pit with expert aim. Interns must stamp the form within one minute to validate the sale.
